Short and Sweet!

Sorry for the long post I will try and make this one short. I forgot to post the names of everyone in the pictures of the first post so here it goes. Lilliana is pulling the wagon and Jacob and Alexis are pushing it. They are my grandchildren.Connor is the one holding his pumpkin that he picked out. Then you have my two girls Desiree' and Kayla. My other two grandchildren couldn't make as they were sick. I have one more card to enter into a challenge.

Getting ready for the Trick or Treaters

Boy have I been busy! If I haven't been sick, watching my grandchildren I have been in my green room AKA craft room making cards. I have been loving every minute of it, except for the part of being sick. LOL This past weekend I got to go to the pumpkin patch with my kids and my grandchildren. So of course I had to bring my camera and take lots of pictures. I can never turn down a chance to take pictures of my grandchildren. They just grow up to darn fast. I thought I would show you just a couple of them and then get to the point of why I am actually posting today. LOL.
Oh I do have another picture I just have to show you. I was watching my granddaughter Alexis last week and she asked me if she could make a card, Well I couldn't tell her no. So I asked her what kind of card did she want to make, she said something with googly eyes. Out came my two packages of fish stamps that I had bought at my stamp stores garage sale. So if any one out there knows who made them I would love to know so I can give them credit. Here is my granddaughter Alexis making her card. You will have to excuse the mess on my desk please.
I am so sorry that I can't seem to find the picture of her card so I will take another one and show it very soon. Okay so I have made some cards for a couple of challenges and decided that it is about time I start actually posted them instead of just making them and telling myself I will enter them and then I don't. So please forgive for not entering them sooner. The first time I posted on here that I said I had entered I really thought I had, then come to find out I had only posted the picture of my card on my blog and no where else. Boy did fill like a fat dork. Hanging my head and crying at that time. Time to get back in the saddle as the say and try try again. So that is actually what I am doing. Cross your fingers that I do it right this time. XXX

Sorry I have been away..

I am so sorry that I have been away for so long. It seems that every time I come to sit down and right something went wrong. With grandchildren sick and my children needing advice on what to do, to taking them to the doctors, to watching some of the grandchildren because my daughter in law had to be admitted for things that she had done. Then my husband ended up in the emergency room and had to have surgery. His Appendix had ruptured. He is fine now, Thank God and now hopefully I can get back on track to my blog and start craft a little more regularly like I want to. I have managed to get a couple of cards made here and there between everything going on in my life and I hope you all like them. This is a card that I made for my moms birthday. I used the Spellbinders Flower Pots for the card. The roses I used Cheery Lynn Designs Miniature Rose,Cheery Lynn Designs Cuties 1 and Cuties 2. Cheery Lynn Designs Mini Fanciful Flourish Right. Memory box Vivienne Butterfly. To color some of the roses I used Dylusions ink sprays Funky Fuchsia and Lemon Zest. The cardstock is from Stampin up Old Olive and Cajun Craze as for the pattern paper I am not sure who it is from I am sorry it is very old and just some that I have had in my stash.
This next card was for my grandsons kindergarten graduations. WE were all so very proud of him!! The cardstock is from Bazzill.I used Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Grand Squares to cut out his cap. I also used Sizzix Lollipop uppercase.( first set I owned along with the orignal Sizzix)For the tassel I used DMC embroidery thread and attached with a brad that I had in my stash. The stamp set I used was Fiskars clear stamps Class Of. Here is also a picture of my grandson Nick his mother Jessica and my son Michael.
Okay so I will leave you with one last card that I made for my youngest daughter on her birthday. She turned 30 and was really sad. So I was hoping to make her smile and laugh at the same time. Well it me laugh anyways. LOL!!!
I tried to get all the different angles on this one for you. Well I know this was a very long post so I will say good day for now. I hope everyone has a very nice and wonderful crafty day. Hugs, Sabrina

My dad's birthday card....

Good morning everyone. I know I have been away again. Life just doesn't seem to slow down around. I have a Nephew getting married next month so I am cutting out a whole bunch of butterflies for their wedding and then our Exotic Pheasants or matting, so that means I have to help clean their watering bowels , collect their eggs and mark them , (turn them every time you collect them) feed them and help band the one day old's. Don't get me wrong they are very beautiful birds and I do love them. It's just that sometimes I would rather be crafting. LOL Does that make me a bad person? While doing all of this I did manage to get my dad's birthday card made. I'm not sure it's all that but i guess it is going to have to do as I am running out of time. I still have to make my father -in-law's birthday card and 2 fathers' day cards. Gulp.. Boy I had better hurry up and decide on what I am going to make and just make it already or it is never going to get done. Well here is a couple of pictures of my dad's card. Not too bad huh? Oh before I forget over at Elfie's Sparkle and Dust she has her very first Blog candy giveaway once she reaches 300 followers. Her cards and projects are absolutely beautifully! So you should go and check her out at http://elfiessparkleanddust.blogspot.co.uk/. Here is a pitcure of her lovely candy giveaway. I sure hope that all of you have a super wonderful crafty day. Scared..... but here goes nothing.

So I have always read all the challenges and some of them I have the craft items or the stamps etc. that would work but I have always been scared to enter. Afraid that I wasn't good enough at coloring or putting cards together. Thinking that they would look silly. Well I took a deep breathe, swallowed hard and said to my self ( self it's now or never and you might as well get it over and done with.) LOL So with that being said and done I finally decided that I would take the plunge and enter my very first card challenge with a set of stamps that I won at Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps a little while back. Right before Easter. They are really a very cute set and I have been having a lot of fun with them. Any ways the challenge I am entering is Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps Tic Tac Toe #175. Blue ,Gems, Dies Here goes nothing..... I know I still need a lot of practice taking picture of my cards but on this day I had two beautiful assistants. They are two of my grandchildren. Lilliana who is 4 and Jacob who is 2. They are just too darn cute and wanted to help grandma and of course I couldn't say no! Well that's it for today. I will try really hard to post more often now that I am feeling more secure in myself. http://kraftinkimmiestamps.blogspot.ca/2013/04/challenge-175-tic-tac-toe.html Hugs, Sabrina

I'm so excited!!!

The day before Easter my oldest daughter came to me and asked me if I could help her make some Easter cards to go on some packages that she was going to make for her nieces and nephews. Of course I was thrilled to help her. So we sat down together and came up with a plan. We both designed the card and put the first one together then she did the rest of them all 7 which means she made eight cards. Woo Hoo!! The next day at the Easter party she told me ( Mom... that was so much fun can you show me how to make more.?) How about that? I won her over just by making a card for her son Jacob on his first birthday. That's all for now till later hugs, Sabrina

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile....

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile my life seems to be real crazy lately. I had to have surgery on my elbow. I have some form of Carpal Tunnel. Basically my funny bone isn't funny any more. LOL. Sorry bad sense of humor. My funny bone went bad so they had to go in and move nerves and tendons around. Then Easter was here so I had to work fast. on making Easter cards with a sore elbow, but all in all they didn't turn out to bad. Actually they are kind of cute if I do say so my self.( Patting my self on the back). My husband and I also went to a Ice hockey game with his family in Stockton ca the night before Easter. So I got the cards done right before we had to leave for the party to watch our grandchildren hunt for Easter eggs. It was a very long week. Hugs, Sabrina

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Hi everyone, I know it's been a very long time since I have written anything but I have been watching my grandchildren and been on vacation. Now that I am back I am trying to hurry up and make my first ever card for my grandchildren. I have watched a lot of videos and read a lot of post of my favorite bloggers and read some of their tutorials so I hope I do every one justice. My first card that I have done so far the stamp is Playful Kittens from Whismy Stamps. I just love all their stamps I could go broke buying everything from there.LOL Back to the card I colored the kitten in distress inks. Used Spellbinders Label Eleven. The papers are from DCWV the Glitter Sweet Matstack. Gorgeous papers and cardstock from Coredinations. The rhinestones on either side of the card I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
I hope you enjoyed the card and Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my first card. Have a great day! Hugs & Kisses Sabrina
