Father's Day Cards and a life update

Hi everyone, Sorry that I've been away for a bit. I had back surgery on May 3 2016. So I haven't been able to craft as much as I want. With that being said my oldest daughter Desiree' and my nephew Kyle did come to my rescue so that I could get my swap cards and my Father's Day cards done. If it wasn't for either one of them I never would have finished!!
So I thought I would put some on here so you cold see what all we have done. This one is for my one of my best friends whose getting married at the end of this week. I have know Mark since we were in the Seventh Grade.

This is my mom's birthday card for the month of June.

This image is from QKR digital images. It was my best friends Mark Father's Day card.

This cute little pirate is from http://mosdigitalpencil.com. It was for my brother in law Pat.

This cute image is called Victory. I am sorry I don't remember where I got him from. He was for my brother in law Chris.

This image is called Adventure Guy from http://mosdigitalpencil.com. This card was for my nephew Rory who is planning a trip to Peru very soon. I thought it was very fitting for him.

These two images are called support the troops. They are also from  http://mosdigitalpencil.com. This one was for my father in law.

This little guy I got from QKR digital images. I colored this one for my son in law who is a carpenter.

This one also came from QKR images. I made this one for my brother in law Dale.

This one is also from QKR and I made this one for my son in law Ralpha.

Again from QKR and this one was for my nephew Brandon.

This is ther one that I made for my husband and yes he basically does remodels. LOL!!

And last but surly not least, this is the card that I made for my dad Loman. He is a Choctaw Indian. So I found this image to be very fitting indeed.

First Time

Hi everyone, Thought I would let you know what I have been up to lately. Since today is April 1 2016, I can finally let you know and show you. I belong to a group of wonderful women and every three months or so we do a draw for a secret sister. Well my secret sister wanted something that would remind her of the 5 babies that she has lost. So I tried my hand at a Mixed Media Canvas. I was really scared. I have watched Vicky Papaioannou for several years now and have always loved what she has done and wanted to try my hand at mixed media.
It actually turned out pretty nice, not bad for my first time and better yet my secret sister and her husband loved it! So now that she has it I can show you. Here it is. What do you all think?

February's Cards

Hi everyone, I thought I would just pop in here real quick and post a few pictures of the cards that I made for February.
I had 4 birthday's in February. 1 niece and 3 grandchildren. Boy was I busy running around like a chicken with her head cut off trying to get all these cards done. I was so glad when it is was said and done!  This one is for my niece.

The second card is for my grandson and the third card is for my grand daughter. Sadly to say I ran out of time to make the last card which was for my other grandson who was turning 1. Boy did I cry. My daughter kept telling me that it was no big deal and that he would never even know anyways, but I know.  Well the three that I did get done did at least turn out how I planned so I was happy about that.

MIA SO Sorry

Hi everyone, I am so very sorry that I have not been attending my site lately. My life has been really hectic! With the whole family being really sick for months and then in February my son-in-law ended up in the ICU in Reno. They didn't think he was going to make it for a while there and they didn't know what was wrong with him. They kept running all kinds of tests and they kept coming back negative. Finally they figured it out, He had Spinal and Viral Meningitis. He is home now and back to work and slowly I am getting back to normal as well. I have been trying to stay busy and I have been working on a lot of projects. I'm just so sorry that I haven't been posting them on here. So here it goes. I am going to get back into the swing of things.

In January I had 2 birthday's 1 for my nephew who just turned 1 and for my oldest granddaughter who is now 10.

I really love how they both turned out!!
Well I am going to sign off of here for now but I promise I will be back a whole lot sooner.

Starting on my Christmas Cards.....

Hi everyone, Thought I would share my first Christmas card for the season. It is one of the first suspended cards I learned how to make through taking Online Card Classes!! They are so much fun not to mention very informative!! If you want to learn a new technique or just brush up on some old ones these are the classes for you!! They have something for everyone!!! House Mouse Challenge

I am so sorry that I have been away for so long. I had a lot of family issues that I had to deal with. My oldest daughter was pregnant and kept ending up in the hospital due to blood clots in her legs and other very serious problems. We almost lost her and the baby a couple of times, But I am happy ,No proud to say that she and the baby are doing fine!! Then my mother-in-law past out fell and broke her ankle and tore joints  in her foot.
Now that things are slowly getting back to normal I am finding more to get into my craft room to craft. Which makes me happy and puts a smile on my face!
Today I made a card for the House Mouse Challenge HMFMC200. The challenge is to make a card with yellow,blue and white.  So the card that I made is called Biggly's Tow Service. I still need to practice a little more on my coloring but all in all I didn't think it turned out to bad. What do you think?

Easter Challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs

Hi everyone, I thought that I would let you know what I was up to today. I have been in my craft room making a card for Gerda Steiner Designs Challenge for the month of March.
It actually took me several days just to figure out what color cardstock I wanted for the base of my card. Don't you hate when that happens or am I the only one that this happens to? Well I finally decided on Sea Otter by Coredinations Foundations. It's kind of a very light greenish gray color. It is really pretty in person. I colored the images with my Copic markers (Boy do I love them. I just wish I was better at coloring.). Then I  found a yellow with blue paper in my stash. Sorry I don't know from who because I have had this one for a very long time and the cover is missing. Then I finished off the card with some enamel dots by Teresa Collins.
  Gerda Steiner Designs has a wonderful program going on with her challenges. When you buy the digi image that is for the challenge of the month for the first time, as along as you enter the challenge you will receive your next month digi image for free and she will keep sending you the monthly digi images for free as long as you play in the challenges. Plus when you sign up to receive her newsletters she is always sending out other free digi images for you to print out and color. So it really is a win win and besides her digi images are really very adorable! Oh and she even has stamps that you can buy. They are excellent quality stamps and delivery is really fast!
Well now that I have bored you all. LOL I am going to go back to making some Easter cards for my grandchildren.

Having A Little Fun......

Today while I'm not feeling very well, I still decided to get up and go into my craft room and do a little coloring. I took this cute little image from Gerda Steiner Designs. I thought that I would color him or her up (LOL) and enter the card into the January's Challenge. This image is called Dachshund In Love. I had fun color it up and it was nice that it was fast and simple to do since I am under the weather today. Well I am going to cut this short and go lay back down for awhile.

5Th Day of Christmas

Here is my final card that I did for Christmas. Well major card anyways. I have to say this one I think is my absolute favorite. I just love the way it turned out. I know I'm not the best colorer in the world like some, (like Kristina Werner , Jennifer McGuire or Sandy Allnock just to name a few off the top of my head that I follow and get so much inspiration from.) but I do have to admit I am really proud of myself for this one. 4Th Day of Christmas

Today I colored a cute Snowman. I had so much fun coloring him. If I can't go to the snow at least I can color some snow pictures. LOL!! I sure hope you all like him as much as I do.

I am so sorry that I forgot to write down the colors that I used, but I did color him in Copics.
This darling image is by Inky Antics and doesn't have a name. You can also turn him into an ornament. How cute would that be. I just might have to do that in the next couple of days.
    My daughter is adjusting to being home but still can't do a whole lot of walking as it tires her out and her leg begins to swell. So she mainly stays on the couch with her legs up.
Well I have to get ready for an annual Christmas party so until tomorrow. Happy crafting to all.

On a good note today, My daughter is finally home from the hospital. Her children were so happy to see her and so was I. It was a little touch and go for a little bit there. She still has the blood clots in her leg but they are a little smaller now so she gets real tired real fast from walking and her leg looks real red still but at least it isn't as swollen as it was.

Well no I'm going to get back to making more cards and wrapping some presents.

Tag for 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist-2014

Boy did I have lots of fun making this tag. I have always loved Kittie Caracciolo's style of everything she does, so it was a real easy choice for me to make when I had to decide whose  style I wanted to make a tag after. So here it is.

I will also be doing at least 5 cards for Christmas if not more. I am juggling a lot right now with my daughter in the hospital with blood clots in her legs and possibly one in her lung and taking care of her daughter. Of course my granddaughter Alexis has been a dream. She has really been very well behaved with manners I just can't believe. I want to know who has taken my granddaughter and replaced her because normally her manners are not all well lets just say she has them when she really wants something. LOL
Ok so I will go for now since Alexis is in school for the day I can finally get a few things done.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween everyone. Boy have I been busy making cards for Halloween and for the Holidays. Not to mention watching my grandchildren off and on. Boy do I love watching them. They love to make cards as much as I do!! Got to love that.

August Chain Card Challenge

Sorry that it has been such a long time since I have posted. Life seems to get in the way. I have been having trouble getting with the program lately. Two of my grandchildren moved 9 hours away, then my uncle and aunt weren't doing very well ( Whom I am very close to) Then we went on vacation and I just couldn't seem to get my mojo back, But now I do believe that I am slowly coming around. I thought tht I would start off slow and join the August Card Chain Challenge and go from there. This is the card that I made for it. Hope you all like it. Hippity Hoppity Easter's On It's Way!

Boy oh boy with this weather can't making up it's mind I have been in my craft room up to my elbows(LOL) making Easter cards for my grandchildren and for for mother, along with a few other cards here and there.

Sketch #210 Very Sad!

I thought I would try my hand at making some cards for both teams ( Sea Hawks and Denver Broncos ) since my team didn't make it this year. Sigh.... Maybe they will next year. I was rooting for the 49ers. Well a girl can dream can't she? So anyways I made two cards one for each team since I really don't care who wins but I am still watching the game. WE are all going over to my sister in laws to watch the game and eat Lasagna!!! Yum Yum!!!!! Well off to my sister in laws to see if she needs any help.

Something New For ME

Boy have I been busy, not only making Valentine cards and Birthday cards but I tried my hand today at a DIY project and if I do have to say it was fun not to mention very easy. I cut out letters with my Big Kick using Sizzix Lollipop uppercase dies, Xyron magnetic tape, Xyron 1200 , cookie sheet and some cardstock. I made magnetic's and decorated a cookie sheet for all the magnetic's to go.

Now I can help my grandchildren learn their ABC'S when they are here. I might have to make a lot more letters so my older grandchildren can put the letters together to spell out words.
